Yesterday Apple had their big announcement, like we all suspected for the new iPad. They seem to be trying too hard to make sure that the rumors circulating previous to the events are untrue by naming this not the iPad 3 but the “new iPad”. And the new iPad is better, but what we didn’t expect is that it wouldn’t be mind blowing. As with Apple’s iPhone 4s announcement, the new iPad seems to be an intermediate step to the next mind blowing device. It’s set to launch on March 16 and is sure to be a great device. Upgraded features include a better camera, more powerful processor, amazing screen resolution, and is now capable of 4g on AT&T and Verizon’s networks.  So it seems like the new iPad will be a hit mainly among those who do not already have an iPad and are looking to get one. I don’t see much reason to upgrade unless you have cash falling out of your pockets.  See Apple.com for more information.
